NZ Blood is happy with the response to its collection of blood at Whangaparaoa Hall yesterday.
The service’s donor relations team leader, Scott Sinclair, says a total of 91 people came to the hall, of which 85 managed to get on a bed and donate blood.
This follows a successful collection of blood from more than 200 people over two days in Orewa last week.
Scott says the three collection days exceeded expectations and has helped the service provide life-saving blood to those that need it in hospitals.
