A number of events at Kingsway School over the last six weeks have raised around $25,000 for World Vision.
The events included a Coastwalk last month, where around 80 people, mostly students, were sponsored to walk 20km from Millwater to Gulf Harbour, from 10pm on Friday, June 9 to midnight on Saturday, June 10.
One group walked to Gulf Harbour, then the next team walked the same distance back.
The walk was first held last year and was primarily done by Year 13 students but this year it was opened to all senior students.
Other events included a Quiz Night, a 40-hour gaming live stream and backpack challenge.
Assistant head of senior school Colette Budler says the school is grateful for the community support and to students who have sacrificed and looked outside of themselves to raise money for those in need.
