Raiders Old Boys reel in winning weights at 10th annual competition

The Hibiscus Coast Raiders Old Boys held their 10th annual fishing competition on Saturday, November 29, with anglers landing some impressive fish across all categories.

Hamish Beesley took out the heaviest snapper with a 9.510kg catch. The heaviest kingfish went to John Dedden with a 12.5kg fish, while Kauri Raj placed third in the kingfish section with an 11.950kg weigh-in.

In the children’s Under 12 section, Jackson Liddle claimed first place with a 7.08kg snapper. Sam Hurley also featured on the leader board, weighing in a 7.925kg snapper for third place.

Old Boys members and supporters turned out in strong numbers throughout the day, making the milestone event one of the club’s most successful.
