The third and final in a series of Death Café sessions at Warkworth Library will be held on Sunday May 17, starting at 1pm.
An organiser Katie Mitchell says a decision will then be made as to whether or not to carry on holding the events on a monthly basis.
“They have been very positive so far and well attended,” she says.
The principle behind the cafes is to provide a safe, confidential space for open conversations about death, dying and living.
These group-directed, non-profit meetings aim to increase death awareness and reduce anxiety over tea and cake.
It is an Auckland Libraries initiative, supported by Honohono Tatou Katoa.
