Mangawhai Football Club has been knocked out of the Chatham Cup with a 6-0 loss to Onehunga Māngere United. According to New Zealand Football, the Chatham Cup is one of the country’s oldest grassroots sporting competitions. This was Mangawhai FC’s first time in the tournament, a great feat for the growing club. Despite the heavy defeat, the team put up a good fight against one of the competition’s most experienced sides.
