Good Vibrations shared

Good Vibrations, the new exhibition at the Mangawhai Artists Gallery, features the eclectic work of four Whangarei artists – Yvonne Clapperton, Sue Anson, Nelly van der Oord and Cecilia Young.

Each artist brings a unique interpretation of the world around them, exploring and experimenting with new  techniques, mixed media and a variety of subjects.

Connected by a passion for visual expression, experimentation and enthusiasm, the artists are frequent participants in workshops and visit each other for planned painting sessions where they share ideas, try new products and learn from each other. While their styles differ, the message is clear – they love creating and the freedom of self-discovery that their art journeys offer.

The exhibition features a range of works, from abstract to landscape, bold-bright to minimalist, and textures and layered compositions. They invite the viewer to slow down, breathe in and enjoy ‘good vibrations’.

The exhibition is open daily from 10.30am to 3.30pm (from 9am on Saturdays) from Saturday October 18 to Thursday October 30. The Mangawhai Artists Gallery is at 45 Moir Street, Mangawhai.
